Fighting Back Against Parkinson's Disease

Rock Steady Boxing Foundation was founded to give people with Parkinson's disease hope by improving quality of life using boxing for fitness.

Parkinson's disease is a degenerative movement disorder which can cause deterioration of motor skills, balance, speech and sensory function. In some cases, mood disturbances can cause a person with Parkinson's to become increasingly withdrawn with depression and anxiety. Members of Rock Steady are encouraged by coaches through a rigorous boxing regimen which awakens the body and mind. Boxing requires an incredible amount of coordination, endurance and desire to achieve successful workouts. Within weeks of training, increased physical conditioning and confidence are acquired.

We offer a variety of non-competitive boxing classes to help supplement the free Parkinson's program. By working with professionally certified trainers who know the ropes, Rock Steady Boxers are getting fit, relieving stress and becoming healthier by training like a pro!
